In a '79 to be exact, but I imagine any of the ones from 74 up would be the same.
I bought a '76 Mustang II and found terminal rust on it(passenger subframe), so I am going to swap some stuff like the 8 inch rear to the Pinto and use the body as welding practice since I need to learn how.
There is a fairly simple way to convert the II column to tilt, so I was thinking if it would work I would do it and put it in the Pinto.
Thanks,
Russ

This is a link to something similar. I put the steering column from an '88 Turbo Coupe in my '73 Pinto. In one regard it is pretty straight forward as the column clamping methods are similar.
The greater difficulty was the unique mount on the Pinto U-jointed shaft and the more conventional configuration on the Turbo Coupe. But, a bit of handy work got it done. Also I opted to use the T/C light/wiper controls which took extensive rewiring. The Mustang II column shold be easier - I would think???

I've been looking for an answer myself. 6'4" ain't an easy fit and even harder at 60. Tell me the easy way to tilt the II column and I'll figure out the connection.
Here's a link to a Mustang II site that talks about it. In the discussion there is another link to a site that has pictures.

Basically, it involves swapping some stuff from a Granada/Monarch/Verseilles late 70's tilt column to the Mustang II column.
hope this helps. I haven't done it yet myself. No money, and still debating on whether or not to attempt to save the II.
