Title: Pinto Fender Flares
Post by: ChrisMiddleton on August 04, 2003, 10:36:31 PM
Howdy people. Im woundering if anyone has used fender flares for the pinto before. Im trying to get the exterior body work all done. Im looking to put huge slicks in the future on the car. Will fender flares open up the wheel well up more and give it that stock pinto look. Or will I have to cut the rear fenders widen them and mold the fenders to look stock?

Sweet!

I usually try not to bash people, but I just couldn't pass that one up.
It's in my sarcastic nature according to my wife.

I stumbled across this and realize its an old topic. Just incase the op is looking still, we are doing IROC flares to the rear only. Why not back half? Easy, my built 9 is out of my Cutlass. 38 spline, full spool with 514 gear and disc. I`m not chopping the rear again and re-splining the axles. This is the cheapest and easiest route on this `78 Pinto build using all dust collecting parts in my shop. The rally race look is making a comeback so I think a Mad Max Pinto will finally be accepted. Yeap, big block 557 with Blue Thunders, twin 1300 flowed doms and corvette sidepipe headers. That's all folks.
Also have complete motor/auto tranni from this car (unbolted not hacked) with only 63k on the clock. Interested? Gimme a call at the shop. 504-305-5167 M-F 9-5
