Howdy all,
The question: Is the clutch cable for a English Ford Cortina with the 2.0L Pinto OHC motor the same as the one originally used in the 71-73 Pinto from Ford USA? Burton Power in the UK has a cable that looks like our USA cable for the 71-72 Pinto. It might be our solution to Import a few to help keep these people shifting good!
Pintosopher...
Never say unavailable, just go offshore
Interesting find. I've been using the '74-up cable in my '72 for years. I just reused the original adjustment nuts and didn't worry about not having the fenderwell attachment bracket. Snagged plenty of gears with both 4 speed and T-5. Just thought I'd mention an alternative to original is already available. JT
Thanks JT,
It confirms a Post by Cookieboy 2 yrs ago and Pintony said much the same thing about reusing the Adj nuts. I wonder if the Nuts are SAE or Metric? And are they available through hardware outlets.
Well, I thought this was easier fixed than going over the pond ;D
