Will a 7.5 rear differential axle assembly from a mustang bolt into a pinto?

It will if it is from a 74 to 78.

This is for a stock car so I am not concerned about looks. I'm not familar with the suspension on a pinto yet. Are they leaf springs or 4 link?

I am running a 83 t-bird 7.5.I just cut off the t-bird[mustang] mounting points and weld on a pair of spring perch's. also i am running 15 inch mustang wheels.
