Title: Looking for all 1976 pinto parts cars for one itty bitty part
Post by: Carolina Boy on November 12, 2009, 07:31:30 PM
If you have a 1976 parts car, Please look and see if it has the grill mounting bracket on the passengerside. I have come to a conclustion that this very elusive part is only on the 76 model Pinto. Help!!! It's missing and I can't get down!! :hangover:

Too bad you're waaaay over on the other coast Robert. There's a '76 in SoCal for under $500. If I were rich I would buy it for you and have it shipped.  ;D

Glad you're not. I got enough going on with Bandit.
If you do find that itty bitty part, let me know.

The number doesn't look right, D4 means 1974, and the grills mount different, Right? Got a picture?

CB:

Part numbering does not always make sense, there is no "strict" use of the 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc. as expected. P/N's are usually assigned in development, not necessarily the year they are released.

I have a copy of the Ford Master Parts catalog, and Billnall is RIGHT. D4FZ8232B is correct; I have a '76 wagon and know this part number is correct. Go get it!!!
