Title: Question , for a 77 owner primarily

Preparing to redo the carpet in mine.  I need to know if the texture of the carpet is the same for passenger, fold down rear seat and cargo area.  It appears that my passenger area has been replaced *I THINK* as the material there is different than the back of the fold down rear seat.  I would guess that anybody could answer on any year but ya never know when Ford might have done something different.  TIA

STEVE! My 76 hatchback is the same way. The carpet on the fold down part is 1/2 the color of the rest of the carpet. Any good auto carpet shop can replace / match the carpet on the fold down part. Shouldn't cost too much. DICK

Mine was the same throughout. though the rear was a bit shorter than the front (the depth of the carpet) I just attributed this to the sun fading & years of abuse.

I have been mulling this over for a while now and am hemming and hawing.  Looking at the 77 brochure on pages 8 and 9 it would appear to be different styles between cargo/folddown rear seat and passenger area.  It looks (from these pages anyway) that the colors are also different along with the material or it is bad photography.  Looking at some of the others pics in this brochure doesn't help at all, just confuses me more.  Dick, I will bring it to the mall next month when we meet and get some input from you.
