Title: subwoofer in liftgate
Post by: dholvrsn on November 04, 2009, 04:51:51 PM
Has anybody ever mounted a small or shallow subwoofer in the liftgate of a wagon? Thanks!

Not seen it done, that area is pretty shallow. As a former car stereo aficionado, I always thought the spare tire well would make a wonderful sub enclosure - at the expense of having the spot for a spare!

I agree with popbumper. The tail gate is to shallow and it would be diffacult to run your wires.I'm not saying it wouldn't work but not likely.

It can be done if you use the Subs from Pioneer, they are designed for minimal spaces like behund Truck seats I believe that they are roughly 2.5 -3 In Deep, and come in Sizes ranging from 8-15 in. Just a thought. I have two for my car but im building a Shallow Sub Enclosure so I dont take up alot of space
