Howdy, I fell off the planet about a year ago when the metal market crashed. times got tough and I was forced to abandon ship on the duratec project and pretty much everything else. I was able to hold onto my 71, and lately picked up an 80.
I seem to remember reading something on these pages about someone putting early style grill bumpers etc. on late model body. Anyone done it, or know where the thread is?
Same about the Duratec swap, I was wondering about progress on that the other day.
I'd be interested in the '80 spare parts if you do the swap.
I personally think that square headlight Pintos look better.

I wish I could have finished the Duratec swap, but finances went down the drain,.. I couldnt even afford internet. Some proverb or witty saying about saving for a rainy day haunted me for months. I'll never get caught like that again!!
Anywhoo, I'll be puting up pictures of the 80 soon.
Howd did your project turn out? If I remember right, you'd just installed the engine right before I was sucked into a black hole
Been driving it around Omaha since June. Spent too much trying to get the AC to work. Now I'm trying to get the heater to work. Always something with these old cars.
PS: I think I meant to say "Shame about the Duratec swap, instead of Same about...."
