Title: 1975 2.3L Carburetor Emissions crap
Post by: stinsonj on October 20, 2009, 09:55:59 AM
I am installing a 1975 2.3L pinto engine in my jeep and want to get rid of all the emissions crap because its completely worthless to me and just makes things more complicated. I already removed the smog pump but thats really the only thing i could identify.  Im on to the carb now and it seems way to complicated.  There is a hose that runs to the exhaust manifold (must be to warm up the gas?) and one that runs from the carb to the distribute ( I have no idea what that could do).  Long story short , what can i rip off the carb and have it still run? Or, is there a replacement/aftermarket carb that i could buy that is a lot more simple?
