im looking for a 350cfm Holley for my pinto.....but wasn't sure if the Holley 7448 carb would bolt right on of if i need some kind of adapter?
Take off the ERG plate and it will bolt right on.
I ran mine with long studs and a 1" spacer plate. I felt I could seal the plate to the intake better. The 350cfm carb seemed to like a 2 hole spacer IIRC. My $.02. JT

What did you use for a air cleaner? Did it clear the stock hood with out a scoop?
I used either a 9" round chrome housing with a 2" tall element or the old weiand triangle foam air cleaner. Either one went under the stock hood on my '72 2.0 converted to 2.3. At some point, I trimmed the collar height down on the chrome base because I'm still using it on my 2.0 with spearco intake and 390 holley. JT
Thanks! I've got both. The triangle one should work better because the 9" one will have a sharp right angle turn to enter the carb. Just glad to hear it clears.
Which carb, 350 or 390 gave the best streetable hp and driveable torque? Which one would you use for a hot street Pinto? Thanks.
I'd stick with the 350 two barrel. Add a set of racer walsh power valve restrictors if needed. The correct 390 four barrel(list #6299) is hard to find. I have both in use on cars now, both work well, but day to day I feel the 350 is the most consistent thru all rpms. JT
What about the # 8007 Holley 390 cfm made for 4/6 cylinder engines? Their all over E-bay. Thanks again.
The list #8007 is actually intended for small v-8, 6cyl, and 2x4 setups. It tends to run a bit rich for a 4cyl. I guess you could try the power valve restrictors and crutch the mid and high range with squirts and jetting. A good carb shop could rework the fuel curve but probably $$. I tried one several years back on an offy dualport...IIRC seemed to run best with the power valve plugged. Jetting was hit or miss...everyday was something different so I switched to an efi base with a 350. Would like to hear other experiences as there's always someone who claims to have "made it work". JT ::)
Is the "EFI" lower intake a good base for a lightly modified 2.3? I would like to ditch the stock carburetor (dad has been having problems for years) and upgrade to a 2 or 4 barrel. Thoughts?
i have a 9776 or 1465 not sure wich number applys, the only problems i've had is a stumble off idle.
in order to change from a 2-barrel to a 4-barrel wouldn't you have to change the cam to make it work? correct me if i'm wrong.
