I'm Mike in Apache Junction AZ. I'm 50 & I owned 11 pintos way back when. I've been looking for a 75 or older with a stick, found one in San Diego on Craigslist, it's still there. The kid that has it is shipping out to Afganistan in a few weeks & needs the money, take a look!
But, I found one in the local paper yesterday, 1980, stick, no rust, $250 delivered to my yard. The tranny is stuck but it comes with another one... Interior is shot, rubber has to be replaced... I'm pondering. 2.3, factory air, all power. I build stupid fast boats, I guess I can do this.
THE QUESTION; Should I just buy a better one & sell this or take on the project??
Well, knowing me... I'd say GET 'EM BOTH! lol. You have a daily driver ready to rock and a project to tinker with. Is the one in San Diego white or light colored and located in Valley Center? ::) I was hinting to Fred Morgan to maybe get that one...
If you wind up wanting to sell the one you just got, let me know. I have a 1980 wagon project thats getting a 347 and I might could use it for parts. I'm in Buckeye.
I don't see the San Diego one on CL anymore... did you snag it? If you're coming to Vaqlley Center and you're going to visit the coast before you head back to Arizona stop by here and say hi. ;D
We will go home 1'st then I need to go to Pine Valley to pick up a 73 wagon so maybe. Fred :)
Fred, I meant mytxplode... you and Joy and Bailey are welcome here any time! Wait... what '73 wagon in Pine Valley?! ;D
