Title: Pedal assembly interchange
Post by: svoman2300 on November 01, 2004, 12:07:34 AM
I searched and didn't find anything. I am going to do a T5 swap in a 79 auto. wagon. What years peadal assemblies can I use? Just 79 and 80 or will an asembly from an earlier model work?
Thanks
Rick

I think they are all the same.  The clutch pivot pin broke on my 79 wagon and I used an assembly out of a 74 or 75 with no problems.  The parts looked identical to my original ones.  Keep in mind, you do not need to pull the pedal frame from the car.  I am pretty sure you can swap the brake pedal without removing the frame.  The clutch pedal assembly bolts onto the side of the frame.  All the holes should be already stamped into the frame.  The Mustang II pedals are different from the Pinto's.
