I have come up against some shipping problems and thought the site might want to rhrow around shipping ideas used my members.
Biggest problems are large parts, hood, fenders, doors, etc.
Small parts can use the flat rate boxes of the post office.
I wanted, very badly, Wedges' fiberglass front end but the shipping would have been a doozy. A couple of you wanted my fenders but the same problem.
Sure side by side states, you take off on the weekend and pick it up. But like me, in NC trying to get something from the west coast, Texas or even in Wedges' case Florida, there aren't many shipping options other than truck freight and EXPENSIVE.
Tell your story here and if you know ways to ship cheap, you can help everybody help others in the club.
Greyhound is a good option for some of the large parts. I can ship a door coast to coast for ~$70, at least that was the price last year. The only problem the recipient usually has to pick up the package a the depot. Small town folks usually have to travel some to get their stuff.
