hi everyone..was looking for fiberglass replacement for the front lower..under the bumper area..everywhere i went though called it something different..valance..front spoiler and even a splash pan?..1 place could only be searched by part #..is there a difference or are they referring to the same part? I was in Parts Resources(I linked from there) but most of the posts there are old..thanks for any help  :)

I usually call it the front Valance.  Unfortunately, there is no source for these.  Your only luck is to find an NOS one or a good used one that is repairable.  Be prepared to pay some bucks if you find one in good shape.  I paid $120 for a NOS piece thre years ago and I sold my spare for around $80 last year.  I did have lead on another NOS piece last year but I was a week too late.  They threw all their obsolete parts in the dumpster the week before I called :'(  Sorry, I don't have another spare and my NOS valance is not for sale.  They do come up from time to time so keep your eyes open and I am sure you will eventually find one.

I do have the front valance on my 78, but I'm thinking of taking it off since I'm looking for another look with the car. If I do I will be selling it.. I'll let you know if I do decide to sell it, and how much.

80 bobcat, I am pretty sure you will need to get the part off a 79 or 80 car.  The earlier cars have a different front end and I don't think you will be able to interchange parts without changing out the whole front end.  Good luck :)

ok tigger..thanks..I guess I`m looking for a valance that`ll fit a `79 or 80..boy will that restrict my search!!
