I just put a want up for a '76 horn button, then did a search and found a horn fix tutorial by Chuck.
Ours has the opposite problem of blowing the horn constantly.
I will dig in, see what is going on and maybe report a different fix.
Thanks Chuck, and everyone else.
Mike
If you need a NOS horn button, I have one, though the color (brown) won't match your interior!

Thanks Chris, I will remember that if this fix doesn't work.
What's the damage you are looking for?
Now, for an update.
I peeled the rubber back and YUCK ! !
There was this liquid green stuff, a puddle of it, in the horn switch plates.
Guess that puddle was making the contact between the plates.
Camera was outside in the car with rain pouring down, so I missed that phot op.
It was disgusting, green goo the consitency of model glue.
I will clean it up and see if it works.
Thanks,
Mike
