off topic, but can you tell me a bit more about the old 50's chryler/dodge wagon in the back ground? my son has a 53 chrylser town & country wagon he's trying to restore. PM would be great. thanks
What's the other blister in the hood?
Very nice!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if that's his Dodge wagon or another. Funny how the neat Pinto made it disappear. I think it has a big block in it. It used to have a Cadillac 4-6-8 motor in it if anyone here remembers those. He had it set up where he could toggle between 4-6-or 8 manually but 4 and six mostly sucked and got only marginally better mileage so a Chrysler 413 is to be installed soon.
The blister on the other side of the hood is to clear the blower hat I believe....
I had one of those V8-6-4's brand new in a 1981 Cadillac and it wasn't worth sh_t! Negligable power in the four cylinder mode, ran rough and vibrated in six cylinders (used four on one side and two on the other, so was unbalanced), and was a true gas hog in eight! After a year of that nonsense, in a stoke of genius :rolleye:, I traded it in on a new 1982 Cadillac with a diesel! Another piece of crap! Those two cars are the very reason I was hoping our meddlesome government was going to let GM go down in flames!
Dwayne
Funny isn't it? If you had told Joe six-pack circa 1968 that GM would all but die without a huge tax payer funded bail out and Ford would be the stronger better equipped for the future American car company he'd laugh in your face.... Unless he was a Mopar guy and then I just wouldn't have the heart to tell him the bad news. :embarrassed:
I remember reading that something like 57% of all cars sold in the U.S. were made by GM in 1966.
Wow!!!!! it looks incredible. Larry :police:
