Hey Glitch666:
Need a little more information. Is this a 1974 2300cc with M/T and without T/E and A/C?
Thanks,

Thatnks for that but I still want to know exactly what that thing does. Also is some one could point me to a good guide on timing the car, as im gonna replace the timing belt soon.
Hey Glitch666:
In the figure it shows it as item 9D473 which is a valve assembly
for the exhaust gas recirculation system. I am not familiar with
a '74 but this system recirculates a small amount of the system's
exhaust gas into the incoming air/fuel mixture. As a result, this
is supposed to lower combustion temperatures and reduce nitrogen oxide
emissions.
