I have the two piece ones on mine. They came off of a 74, they are the metal chrome ones not the plastic ones.

I found them to be a little loose in places, but I just closed the inside track a little more with pliers (after wrapping the trim in a towel first). They are holding nice and tight so far!

Not that I know of.  The early cars had metal drip rail trim pieces.  The 71-73? cars had stainless ones where the later 74-76? had anodized ones.  The 77-80 were plastic.  I am not sure exactly where the cutoff dates are but I do know there is a difference.

I did away with my drip rail moldings on my '78 & 9 because the plastic moldings, after time, are a big cracking, fraying, splitting, faded joke. Just painted the rails to match the car
