Title: Are Mustang II fenders the same as the Pinto's?

I showed my Pinto to a Mustang fan the other day.  He owns a mid-80 GT; he used to own a Mustang II.  He remarked how much the front fenders of my '74 looked like the ones on a Mustang II.  Could they be the same?

no they arent.. but somewhere a long  long time back i remember seeing a pinto that had a mustang II front end grafted on it.. but cant think where i saw it.. roy

Years ago while on vacation in San Diego I saw an early Ford Ranchero with and early Mercury Comet front clip. I did a double take because it looked familiar - but not.

Just my opinion, but I think a Pinto front clip would look better on a Mustang II, than a Mustang II front clip on a Pinto.
