Hi Folks.
Does anyone know what the Ford part # is for the float in the Pinto gas tank. Or does anyone know where I can buy one?
I am tired of having to carry a small gas container with me all the time! LOL
Am I correct in thinking you pull the wiring off the bottom of the tank then unscrew the float assembly top get at it?
Appreciate any help here.
Thanks Fred
Do you want the number of the float or the whole sending unit (including the mechanical portion with the float, the electroical hookups, etc.)?
For what year vehicle?
SSCenterprises.net carries the gaskets and metal snap ring for this unit, but I have to look up the number when you tell me what year.
Yes, the wiring comes off first, then the snap ring has to be turned counterclockwise. At that point, the sending unit will slip out of the tank, though you have to pull it out carefully.
Chris
Thanks for the reply.
My car is a kit car but I believe it is about 1975.
Part #'s for all would be great thanks..
