Title: Gas tank sender help needed
Post by: hellfirejim on August 01, 2009, 08:49:22 PM
Ok Gang, here is the deal.  The only gauge on my dash pod is the gas gauge and that doesn't work.  Besides the tach covers most of it anyway.   Sooo it occured to me that since the regular instrument plastic in behide is trashed anyway and i have an opening in my three pod due in to a change in direction, I thought I would put in a gas gauge in the 3 pod.

I went looking at gas gauges and found the following:

0 empty - 30 full
0 empty - 90 full
16 empty - 158  full
240 empty - 33 full
73 empty - 10 full

obviously this is in ohms so which one is the right one to use with the factory sending unit???

thanks for the help
jim

The last one - 73 empty 10 full - would be the one you need. I >hope< it's not the other way around, but since mine is already in the tank and my old one is useless, it's hard to confirm.

I remember 73 and about "6"....
