My daughter wanted a pinto toy so she could put it in the pictures she was having taken of my grand daughter. So i bought this die cast pinto off of ebay. 1/25 scale i believe. in the origial box looks like new. behind the pinto in the box it said something about how the pinto was fords first small car designed for the gas crises. and that their were not very many left today but thanks to places like pinto car club of america, people are still keeping them alive. www.fordpinto.com (http://www.fordpinto.com). I thought that was kinda neet.
was it made by motmax? Green box /fresh as cheries, or black box. the Fresh as cheries came out first and were avaiable in brown, green, orange ,and yellow in the larger scale, and also in the 1/64 scale orange, yellow, blue, mint green and dark green, then a crusin wagon in the 1/87 scale in brown, orange, yellow and green. there were also kits were you could build the larger one in primer, and orange and yellow, but i nerer got that one. the bobcat hatch was also avable in the 1/87 in red, brown, black, and white.
the black box ones are showing up everyonce in a while but i have not seen any in some time the last place i saw any were at a toys r us.

Phill it was a motormax 1/24th scale 74 pinto red. Nice model doors, hood open wheels turn and are hooked to the steering wheel.
That is my car, look at my picture to your left.
I sent photos to Motormax through this site.

They're called Fresh Cherries. Johnny Lightning has/had some out too.
A little off subject.
Would yall know where I could find some plastic glue together models of our beloved Pintos?
other than eBay or a toy show they are not curentky made,
You will pay top dollar for a Pinto model, they don't usually go cheap.
