i was wondering if any one knows were i can get either step by step instructions on putting an 83 2.3 turbo motor in my 79 pinto or some help at least thanks
I don't know about step by step but a lot of the members here have done the turbo swap. It is not a piece of cake but it is doable. Do a search on "turbo swap" and that should give you plenty of reading material. Feel free to ask questions along the way.
Is that with carburetor or EFI?
The engine was a drop in..almost.. needed room for the intake crossover (efi).......ohhhhh but the wiring..had me in limbo for over 2 years till I found someone..but then I can`t read wiring diagrams...mine came from a merkur.. supposed to be easiest...good luck and keep us posted...oh and well worth the effort....so much fun..so little time
alright thanks and ya its the efi

I can help with the first question. All Fords from this time period, whether Pinto or other, were made with unibody construction, meaning there was no separate frame and body; they were integrated into one another.
You'll need to start elsewhere. What is your goal? Cosmetic restoration? Mechanical restoration?

Here's my attempted photo essay on a successful swap.

I was driving it around Omaha and western Iowa last summer.
