Title: Outer tie rod end for early Pinto
Post by: randyg on July 08, 2009, 10:58:35 PM
Hey all,
Where can I get an outer tie rod end for my 71 V-8 powered car? I took it in for an alignment the other day and was told the right side was bad. Want to get a new one so I can take it to the track!
Thanks
Randy

Randy, autozone lists them in rareparts as part# 26462. These should be the aftermarket greaseable type like a Moog or TRW, if my memory is correct. I've been hoarding a few NOS Ford ones (no grease fitting)that I overpaid for a few years back. The 71-73 front end service parts are getting hard to find, so let me know if the zone doesn't pan out. Where are you located? JT

I got mine from RockAuto

I would change both sides at the same time.
