Post by: HiPopinto on July 08, 2009, 07:40:41 PM
OK I just removed the suspension from the car and am adding a new set of control arms with new poly busings what do I torque all of the nuts to on the control arms? what about the bolt that holds the lower control arm in? I really dont waht this to be incorrect. Thanks Dave

You're in luck, I did a complete rebuild of my front end two months ago; I almost have the torque settings memorized.

Lower control arm bolt - 95-120 ft lbs
Upper arm to frame - 95-120
Ball joints to spindles - 75-90 (torque to min spec, tighten nut to nearest cotter pin slot, insert pin)

I cannot recall what we did to the end nuts on the bushinngs, and my shop manual does not show it.

Hope that helped, sorry it was a partial answer.

Chris

Dave:

Glad to help, I'm glad to have answers instead of just always asking questions!
