So this 1973 Ford Pinto Wagon I've been working on for almost a year now (not every day of course but whenever I had the chance to go and work on it) is almost fixed. First of all, it's not even mine and it belongs to a friend of mine, her mom bought it for her about 2-3 years ago and all of a sudden it stoped working and it has been sitting in there front lawn now for a quite some time. That's when I came into place and saw that I completely feel in love with it and wanted to learn about the engine and how everything works. It's moldy on the outside and the windows aren't even clean, it looks like they have this white sheer on it. And I believe the car had about 60,000 miles on it. Her mom knows that I want to buy it but she thinks that its worth a lot of money and I really don't think it is because of the condition it is in and what I've had to fix. I know I shouldn't of even touched it without buying it first but leave that to my stupidity. Can someone suggest to me a price that a car like that would go for?
Thanks :D
get some pics to post and we might be able to help you more.
I haven't been able to take any pictures of the car all I can really tell you guys is that it's molding on the outside and its probely rusting underneath, i've replaced the radiator, solanoid, water pump, and valve seals. Even thought it's NOT my car I still went out of my way and spent my money on trying to fix it because I didn't think I could just buy it off the bat because I didn't have enough money at the time, and now I finally have a job and I can probely afford to pay for it now and I just don't want to be riped off.
The money you've spent plus your time and labor is worth about what the car is worth. She should give it to you.
I agree with 71, She should give it to you. If not say the engines shot and you will haul it off free to clean up her yard
This is true...
