Title: Master cylinder replacement
Post by: r4pinto on October 08, 2004, 05:00:32 PM
My master cylinder on my 78 Pinto is leaking, and I need a replacement.
Does anyone know what other Fords I can go to to get a master cylinder?

I got mine at NAPA, they had it shipped in from pittsburge, a rebuilt was about $45.00, at the time they had 55 left on the shelf, that was 3 months ago. Good luck!

Thanx, I'll really need it.

The one on my car currently is leaking out the bottom of the front reservoir. Right now it only holds fluid in the back part, but not the front part.

Not good Matt. But fortunately not a really hard fix either. You are REALLY getting introduced to auto mechanics in a trial by fire aren't you? Trust me once you get your horse up & running at full speed you'll NEVER look back. I love the Pinto/'StangII chassis they drive smooth & handle GREAT I've owned four of them (2Pintos & 2'StangII's)
