Hopefully with some luck and the fishin will be poor, I'll have some time to put the panels on my wagon this weekend. Just wanted to ask what kind of screws are the best to put the panels on, no hardware came with them. The guy I got them from said the inside ones had big heads or washers. I would like to have everthing here before I start. I hate running to town 2 or 3 times to get a project done.
Thanks a bunch,
Farmboy
I've never had a cruisin wagon apart, but if you look at the holes the screws go into you can judge the size. If they're machine type screws, then size is important (hmmm where have I heard that before :-[). if you're using a wood or self tapping screw then close enough for rock & roll works.
The panels use pan head sheetmetal screws. I believe they are #6's but I am not totally sure. They might be #8's. Reguardless of the size, I would use stainless steel ones.
I removed some panels years ago and kept the screws.
I could take a picture of one with a ruler..close up for you.
I just have to find the screws. let me know.
P/S don't use stainless. The chemistry difference in the two metals will erode the
carbon steel side (re panel and the pinto shell).

That would be great, thank for the info on the stainless steel screws. that was sure a fun job getting the decals off. Yea, right, it was a pain in the you know what, and that glue behind the stickers set up like moss on my roof. All sanded down now and ready to primer tonite.
Thank God
