After Jim Wangers tour of duty at Pontiac he formed a company named MotorTown.
One of the creations was the "Boss Pinto". It looked like it was not really a performance car, only a tarted up Pinto just like the Mustang II Cobra was. There were no takers at Ford, so the Boss Pinto did not happen.
I have seen a few Pinto's here and elsewhere that fit the monikor "Boss Pinto" :2fast4u:
Go to the link and scroll down a little to see the concept.

Also check out the Pacer that looks like the Pinto wagon version with the port hole
Gee, you may have just given me the idea for my Pinto. Any idea what the color patterns were(black stripes on white body or such)
I have been nuilding a boss pinto, some of the extras included 1970 boss mustang valance, spoiler & rear wing. Louvers from a hatchback fabricated to fit. Magnum 500 wheels with one of a kind pinto center caps. Shaker (not a faker) 302 v8. 8" Detroit locker rear, custom frame rails and a whole lot more. She si expected to be done by 2011.
sorry for the type "O's"
I wanna see a close-up of the center caps! You got me curious!
Well there goes my original idea :(
if you look close at the pic of the pinto you can see a hood scoop mounted to the passenger side of the hood.... hmmmm. can you say intercooled turbo :D
Well, at least a turbo. The carb could have been moved over to the other side to be closer to the turbo if the turbo is mounted on the exhaust manifold.
So if this guy did the porthole Pacer, is he any way connected to the porthole Pinto?
BTW, in some Citizens Band and other slang, a Pacer was sometimes called a "Pregnant Pinto"!
Actually in reference to the hood scoop in the link, it is actually a drawing and not a picture. But I like the inventive ideas on how to set it up that way. :read:
Oh and here is the close up you asked for.
