Where do you guys get your rear shocks for a wagon? I checked autozone today and they are discontinued! I can check some other parts stores just wondered if anyone new off hand? Thanks
I got mine (for my wagon) at O'Reilly's - though I don't know if you have access to an O'Reilly's. You can also try Rock Auto (www.rockauto.com). Let me know, I can always pick up a set for you and have them shipped.

The Wagon shocks have a bit more travel. While I qualify this with "do at your own risk" I have used the sedan shocks on my '73 wagon.
There is about 1-1/2" more travel in the wagon shock. You can compensate for about an inch of that just maximizing the threaded portion of the shock. I used three of the bushing washers between upper end of the shock and its corrosponding lower bushing. I then used a tubular spacer of about 5/8"-3/4" on the lower end of the shock and its upper bushing washer.
This effectively made the shock about 1" longer. I have not had issues missing the 1/2" of length. Nor have they bottomed out on me due to limited travel. There are also extenders you can purchase. Just don't put too much "extention" on the top of the shock or it can bottom out. Unless your one to fly over rail road crossings, over extending likely would be less of an issue.
Anyway, for me it saved the hassle of finding and paying for the stock dimension shock.

It has been about 10 years since I purchased the KYB gas shocks on my 79 wagon but I remember just going down to the local auto parts store that carried KYB's and ordered them. I hope they have not discontinued them......

I got mine at oriley's last year.took a couple of days to get them in.The boxes were a bit beat up and had a thick layer of dust on them !!But the shocks were new and shiney.
Monroe's eCatalog www.monroe.com (http://www.monroe.com) shows that they still make the "SENSA-TRAC® PASSENGER CAR SHOCK ABSORBERS" #5771 for 78 (75-80) Pinto wagons.

I use rear shocks for a 77 chevy nova on my 75 wagon with no ill effects.
