Title: Need pic of starter solinoid
Post by: 289pinto on June 12, 2009, 10:21:25 PM
I need a pic of the starter solinoid of a 78 pinto 4cyl. Reason I ask is I need to see where the wires go! I just got back onto my project from 18 years ago and at one time took the solinoid off and didn't mark where the wires go! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't have a pic but I can try to tell you where the wires go.
The positive battery cable and the fuse link wires all bolt to one side. Doesn't matter which side. Fuse links are yellow, may be a black/white in there as well.
Red/light green goes to the "s" terminal
If there is another push on type wire (maybe white?) it goes to the "i" terminal
The other big post is for the starter cable

That helps! Thanks, if there is one thing I'm lacking its talent with wiring!  ;)
