Title: Rear Springs - source found
Post by: popbumper on June 02, 2009, 08:28:54 AM
There has been a lot of banter about the scarcity and cost of rear springs for both sedans and wagons.

Apparently they are tough to find and expensive.

I have found a source by the name of "The suspension King" (www.thesuspensionking.com) in Pennsylvania - rear springs are $104 each, new, you can get your self into a pair for a little more than $250 after shipping. Incredible! This guy also has rear end U bolts, shackle hardware, etc. Check it out!

....which is why I have provided another option. I have heard "interesting" things about JC Whitney - has anyone actually BOUGHT rear springs from them?

Hmmm.... Point well taken. I might just have to try them for my car since they would be half the cost. Worth a chance.

I ordered a pair of wagon springs from Whitney last fall. They put them on hold for two and a half months because they were back ordered and then finally cancelled my order.

There you go - that's why I'll spend the xtra $$ and get the product elsewhere.

I know I sure can't argue with logic like that. Makes perfect sense to me.

Thank you for providing Thesuspensionking.com as a source.  I just ordered rear leaf spring, shackle bolt and bushings from them.  They were in stock and ship tomorrow.

Outstanding, glad I could help. Please report back on your impressions of quality, packaging, etc., as I am hoping to get a set myself!
