I just wanted to post a picture of our 71' Pinto we pulled out of storage. It hase been in the barn for 9 years. The car won the Summer Nationals at Bristol, TN. in 81'. It also placed 10th in the IHRA standings that same year. The car also held several world records.
We are putting it back on the track and hoping to have it done for the Goodguys race at Indy in mid June.
More pictures, more pictures. 9 years undercover and still looks good to me.
needs a bath lol.. but yes it looks good for how long its been in a barn, Post some more pics
THAT'S PRETTY COOL. Just wash the dirt off of it, freshen up the mechanics and leave it alone. Please do not paint this one because so many cars with a history get destroyed or "redone"
That is terrific. Clean it up, tune it up and shoot us some pictures. Oh and I agree don't touch it, leave it alone and preserve history.

Hi Sqeaky-- met you about 20 years ago. I too still race a U-V/S pinto. Two IHRA national 1/8th mi records since that time. If you are watching this site, do a reply & we'll talk by email.
Hi, I really like the stock eliminator cars. If you know of one for sale let me know. Let me know how you do at the races, et and mph. 8)

Well we managed to get it back on the track. On its 1st full pass it actually ran the dial in that has been on the window for the last 9 years (16.57). How is that for consistent!
So far the best pass since we got it back out is a 16.17. I know there is more there because that was in eliminations and I was out of it and on the brakes.
Bday, Sqeaky is my Dad. He gave me the car after we got it back together.
Car looks awesome!

I remember this car in the late 80,s it used to run as I remember 16.20 I think .I used to race my pinto at Detroit and my 86 dodge charger. My pinto used to be brown primer then.
That's just TOO COOL!!
Make sure to give us all the details!

Can't wait to hear more about this ole' racer coming back from its days of glory.
I bet it can still hold it's own at the track with a couple modern modifications!
If any of you are going to be at the Detroit Autorama stop by and say hi. We will have the Pinto "Sqeaky Part III" in the Traditional Rod (basement) area.
Any pictures from the show?????
