Title: few questions about smog in california

so i have these headman headers and am wondering if anyone else in California have headers on there pintos or just stock exhaust manifold.

are any headers street legal in California?

was a vacuum amplifyer used on a 77 2.3l?

Headers are legal in CA, my bobcat had a set on the 2.8 that is in it when i was in California, ( I really wish pop hadn't sold them) but i know they are legal, Just remember that as long as you have a Cat your ok. I dont know anything about that Vacuum deal ... Mine doesnt even have one.

Ahem...
Not not open a can of worms, But your car must be pre-76 to be exempt to not be subject to a smog check Visual inspection. The EO # must be on a metal plate welded to the header to be smog approved. If you have a header that has all fittings for emissions, you can still be rejected if the EO# plate is missing.
