Title: Pinto sighting (second-hand)
Post by: blupinto on May 21, 2009, 10:58:04 PM
My friend Patty told me today that she saw a car that needed to be in my collection (she thinks my Pintos are cute). She said she saw a red Pinto with white top (I assume vinyl-top) and hatchback. She said it was a little oxidized but still shiny and it was going the opposite way she was. She had me drooling... It looks like there's a Pinto at large in the Carlsbad-Oceanside area (California). Anybody's Pinto fit that description?  ;) Wish I saw it...

There seems to be a lot of second-hand sightings these days. lol

My neighbor came over while I was washing the car this evening and said he saw a black one with a raised rear end driving around down the road and thought of me. lol

I spotted a '74 (or later) 'woodie' wagon the other day just a couple of miles from my house.  I've been driving by this thing for THE LAST 30 YEARS FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD and just noticed it!

It's covered in weeds/bushes and is red or orange and definately has the big bumpers.  Nobody home the last 2 days that I've stopped by

There has been one sitting not to far from me for the last 10 years and nobody told me about it. It's the 72 that's in the classified ads. I took a lot of pictures and if another person that has a lead on it first does not want it, I will post the pictures here with a full description. it's worth saving because of the features (or lack of  ;D )
