Has anyone here ever considered trying it? I have been thinking of putting one in from an old Lincoln Town Car or the like. Might be something fun and interesting for a restomod project. Perhaps I could even write up an article about it for the magazine!
Is there a bolt-in power unit with the rectangular base, or am I just dreaming?
This would be handy for using car covers (AND cool)...
I have one on my wagon, they were not very dependable 30 years ago, mine works when it wants. They were wired to go up when the radio was turned on, I would like to fix mine up with a dash switch if I could find the time. They are great when you have a car cover.
I have one on my 67 Mustang. I like it for the fact I don't have to deal with it when I put on my car cover.
Hey will those work with the fenders as most antennas are really long? or can I get a shorty Electric antenna?
From what I have been seeing, the electric antennas on old fords are collapsible and in three parts. I will see what I can find on newer cars, for dependability. I think this could be sporty! :D
Its either an electric antenna or i find a way to French in the one thats there on the back somewhere.
