posted some new photos of my 79'pinto wagon on Photobucket ..Haven't figured out how to resize the photos to put on here yet.. posted under ...dcorry1 :fastcar:
Lookin good! You have any other pics of the interior besides the one?
that thing is just screaming for a set of rims to offset the color. nice ride.
Here is a link to save a few steps: http://s576.photobucket.com/albums/ss210/dcorry1/ (http://s576.photobucket.com/albums/ss210/dcorry1/)
That engine is way too clean. I like the radio placement. You must live in one of those nice locations where HVAC is not needed (or you are very tolerant).
thanks for looking at my pictures ,it definity is a work in progress.I embarrased to show the rest of the interior ,no back seat ,no headliner ,heck don't even have the seat belt in for the passenger side yet.The rims are coming but slowly ,I still had the original rims and hubcaps so just to get on the road i put some decent tires on and took off..But the main thing is that i'm !!!!! DRIVING IT NOW !!!!! ...
The a/c is a -2/55- ..Roll down 2 windows and do 55
The blower assembly and all the duct work and a lot of other things was ruined when the car flooded during katrina .So a lot of things i have had to leave off the car or cover up.Those side lights in the photos are not Pinto they came off a toyota .But it gets me on the road legally.Going to try and tackle the headliner soon ,will post pics
To be honest I like the look of the markers you put on there. Quite ingenius. Are you planning on reinstalling a heater box on the car or just leaving it as it is?
As for the interior looking bad I'm sure it can't look any worse than lots of the Pintos on the road. We don't care. We just like the cars, trashed or not.
Atleast you saved her from a fate worse than death.

Hay! I like the look.
Is the lack of trim around the side window factory?
I like that too.
I knew the moulding and clips for around the windows would be a b***** to find so when i was prepping the body to paint I ground down the small clip holders flush with the body. Before I painted the engine compartment I sealed EVERY hole no matter how small to give it that smooth look.I found some stuff by accident that works great for sealing holes that are kinda out of the way it called "Duct Mastic".In my race car days we would use it a lot to keep out the dirt. It's water based but once it dries it's there.A lot easier to use than fiberglass and paint sticks to it.
Wow the engine and compartment looks great and I'm sure is powerful. Love the orange and the creativity to get it road worthy. Keep up the good work, thanks for saving it.
