So, at a recent Philadelphia car show, I was hanging out with my '72 Woodie Wagon (not woodie, it's a RUSTIE!). I was approached by a guy who knows a guy who is shooting a film and needs two Pinto's for some scene or something like that. I gave the guy my info, but I only have the one Pinto now (I've had 5 in my lifetime so far). I think I am the only guy in the greater Phila. area who even owns a Pinto, let alone has one that actually runs. I haven't heard back from anyone, but when I do it would be a great thing for me to say that I have found another pony. Seeing as how rare our cars are, we can pretty much set the rent as high as we want to. "What's that? You don't want to pay $XXX per day? No problem, go find another dude who has a running Pinto. Good luck."
Any more details I get I will post.
In the meantime, anyone who wants to join the Phila. Pinto Car Club (PPCC) is welcome. So far I am the only member. BTW, the PPCC only exists in my driveway.
I saw on another forum they were looking for pintos for a nicholas cage movie but wanted them to destroy i hope it is not the same thing for yours,
oh buy the way if you change it to Pennsylvina Pinto Car club PPCA i am in.
you could say we cover the entire state as i am near Erie.
phil
If they want to destroy something, tell them to get some over-plentiful import cars...
Rob:
Just loan them your car for a fee. It looks pretty much destroyed.....
:rolleye: :nocool:
You know I'm kidding, of course.
Chris
Well, I would be pretty sure they don't want to destroy a car if they're checking out a classic car show, but ya never know!
Meanwhile, the garage next my store's mechanic tells me there's a blue Pinto for sale around the corner. As soon as I am done this billing, I'm taking a lunch break to check it out.
Will post the outcome.

You're sure not making friends today... :P :showback:
I am going to have to post that picture I took of your finished left suspension. You know, the one where you can see half of the engine through the rotted inner fender... ;D
The hole in the fender? Ahh...that's public knowledge. Good effort though! :cheesy_p:
I hope you don't get lost in the mud tomorrow. Forecast has a 70% rain chance, yecchh....
:nocool:
If you see any factory A/C setups, I am not interested ::)
If you find any other Pintos, you had better be on the phone with me, or no trip to central Texas salvage yards for you :'(
Chris
Hey Sagenip,
I have one they could buy "ready to go", why lease?
79 Pinto 2.3 automatic, anyone could drive. 38,000 originl miles.
Brakes, front end, & engine are all sorted out. Only problem is it leaves a some oil drips on the driveway.
$2250.00
I need something to tow my jet ski and I don't feel like fixing the oil leaks. So wifey's Pinto will be up for sale soon. (I will still have my 73 Pinto)
See picture
As much as I love seeing Pintos in movies, I can't be happy if there's one being destroyed in one. I winced every time Cujo lunged at the one in his movie. :'( :(
Did anyone noyice the Pinto in the first few minutes of Commando? I think it was at the start of the car chase.
I don't think I've ever heard of Commando. However, I do know what they mean when somebody "goes commando". :reek: :cheesy_p: :P :hangover: :showback: :surprised:  :drunk:
Commando, Govanator trying to save his daughter from evil island dictator.
Does the Pinto in that movie get destroyed?
NO 8)
Remember the (1977?) orange wagon used in the Blues Bros? That was pretty cool.
The one blown up on Top Secret when a truck barely tapped it was a bit much...
