Title: The leaves are red, the grass is green, and so is the inside of my Pinto!

Okay, so the inside isn't quite green yet, it's still orange.
I pulled a bunch of things out from under my dash this summer and the plastic part of the defroster that funnels the air up to the windshield never got re-attached very well. After a few launches with the stickies it no longer does anything but rattle around under there. Or so I thought. I went to pull it out today and in the process dumped all of the water it had been holding (unbeknownst to me) onto my beloved MSD and 2 step. I hope they are water-resistant enough! So. I will be pulling out the dash and the welder. But where to begin? Aside from turning the hose on my car to find the leaks, Are there any spots in particular that are prone to leaking?

The windshield areas are leakers for sure and you will also find the leaks under the cowl vent area.

Definately check the corners of the windshield. I laid new carpet in my car, only to find it soaked the 2nd night(well this was the day after Frances passed thru TN) Amazingly the floorboards in my car were pretty clean except for 2 places which I patched before. I also discovered that I'm NOT going to go back to the factory color lol. My daughter called it "doggie doo" brown :D
