I'm not sure if this is general knowledge or not, but for us Turbo and FI transplant folks I found this website to have some great information.
http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=1
It seems to be a very comprehensive site dedicated to the Ford FI system and its controls. While other sites may be vehicle specific or have a related article on the EEC-IV system, this site is specific to the system itself. To me it puts a lot of scattered information on one site. I just scratched the surface, but I'm finding out a lot.

Good stuff, THANKS!
I was considering a 2.3 T for my 72 Volvo P1800es.
My other choice will be a non-turbo GM LT series V8.
I can't make up my mind.
I have time to decide since this summer will be dedicated to fixing my son's car.
My 2.3 T negatives are:
Exhaust sound :

Weight unless you buy the mega $$ aluminum Esslinger head
Reliability is in question ? All I read about online (like turboford.net)is a multitute of problems including cracked heads & blown head gaskets.
GM LT negatives
Everybody uses the GM LT series on engine swaps!
You can get a super low mileage LT with trans & all accessories for around $5,000. 350 dependable hp & very light.
So making all things equal, I could dump 5K into a 2.3T & T5. That would need to include purchase + mods.
Wht do you think?
Forgot to say, the purpose of the car is canyon carving handling while balanced to accomplish cross country high speed touring. It will not be a drag racing car, though a few passes here and there might be done.
