Maybe they just aren't supposed to be as adjustable as I need them to be. Anyway, while I can adjust them using the knobs from the inside of the car, they don't even get close to where I need them to be. They do move just fine using manual pressure on the mirrors themselves.
So is there a way to clean/lube the cables to get full movement, or is what I have considered full? The mirrors do go up, down,in, and out using the knobs, just not enough.
Thanks,
Russ
PS, I still haven't gotten any pictures of the driver's side knob mounting (pulling through the door)to post yet as requested about that problem. I need to get out to the garage with my camera.
The cables themselves might need some lubrication. I suggest trying some silicone spray or white lithium spray. WD-40 will evaporate so I wouldn't suggest using that.
Also you might want to pull your door panels & see if the cables are moving when you use the knob. If they are that could be your issue. If that's the case try using some plastic zip ties to try to secure the cables in the doors. Just a thought, couldn't hurt.
