Just thought it was pretty neat!!
Also I got a one of those hand signals that means Awesome (don't know the name of it but it looks like the "Hang Loose" one but with your thumb up) and also some guy yelled from across the street asking if I wanted to sell it!!! LOL Uh, NO!!!! ;D This was all before and after the truck, so I know they were meaning me!! LOL
I thought the time machine was a Delorean????
Nice story Pintogirl. I can't WAIT until I get to drive my car and see peoples' reactions.
Chris
Neat pictures for sure! :)
About the only attention I get while driving my Pinto in Dallas is from drivers of older cars... Yuppy drivers of course tend to sneer when i drive in their "rich" community. Only every now and then, a small conversation will come up, maybe about once every 2-3 months... Maybe people are too used to seeing it, as it IS my daily winter driver.
Now when I have the Oldsmobile convertible out, things are WAYYY different, especially with the top down! I love it... ;D Of course I do get sick of the common stupid question "Does that have the 442 cubic inch motor in it?" :hypno:
Neat pics pintogirl, wouldnt mind going back in the wayback machine for a few minutes. Would rite myself a note that says dont sell the pinto keep it and some day youll have 2. I was driving mine last night and it was a lot of fun, then morning came and i woke up. Oh well wont be long now and she will be rollin me in to work.
Thanks guy's!
Yah, I have a blast watching the looks of other drivers!! It's mostly the 30ish and up people that give the thumbs up or "awesome" signal!! The younger generation don't even know what the car is! LOL Hmmm, never know, we may get some of the young one's interested in a Pinto and they will start putting more parts out there for us!! ;D Ok, it sounded good! LOL
I finally got mine ready for the road, it's insured now tomorrow I'll get tags on it. But I couldn't resist taking it out for a spin to the parts store and grocery store. At the parts store the counter guy had to come out and check out the turbo and the paint job, then everyone there also come over to check it out. Then on the road to the next stop we get lots of looks and thumbs up. I love it. PS two younger people at the parts store didn't know what it was but they thought it was cool. Ready for cruise night saturday night!!!
