Does anyone know if a 90's 2.3 ford ranger 5 speed transmission bolt up to a 79 bobcat 2.3 engine? if so can i use the ranger flywheel, clutch,& pressure-plate?
if you use the ranger bell it will bolt up but its a hydrolic clutch.
FWIW, I had a '94 Ranger Splash that I really liked except for one thing, which was the reason that I got rid of it: the 5-speed was miserable compared to the T-5 that I have in my hot rod.

cheers. that over weight mazda tranny is no good for performance, size or weight. to be honest, i dont know how well it would fit in a pinto tranny tunnel. go with a t5, youll be happier.
