Start taking those Pics for the 2010 Pinto Car Club Calender.
All Entries that make the 12 months of the 2010 calender will have a featured article here at FordPinto.com
Details will be posted here so stay toon.
In addition we'll be producing the first PCCA Forgotten Ponies Calender.
This will be a homage to those poor rusty pieces of yard art, field markers and lonsome horse.
So as you crawl the back woods, salvage yards and not so empty deserts don't for get your cameras.
Again details will be posted soon.
Frank

:hypno: Damn Kim! Both pix are beautiful! :hypno:
r4pinto, Is that Harold II in silver? :surprised:
Yup, sure is her in silver. She started out the ugly brown color. I was gonna paint her red. Painted the driver side fender silver when I replaced it so I painted the whole car silver.. That's not the final color though. I have decided it will be blue.
Gasp! You think that pretty fiery copper color is ugly!? Wildfire's feelings are hurt! lol.
Okay, what shade of blue? ;D ;) :tgif:
Oh, I am sorry... No, no no.. Wildfire looks good in that color. lol Harold II has had a very rough life so she looked bad. I'm in the process of finding out what color blue my mom's 71 sedan was. Mine will be the same color, or very close to it. Figure if it was good enough for Harold it's good enough for Harold II. ;D
Frank,
Hope this works for you.....

What about a before and after???
Any update on what's going on with the calendar?
For what it's worth, We should pick 12 new cars for the calender, no repeats. I was very proud of being in the group of 2009 and think every car can be photographed for calender presentation. start taking pictures pinto people. dan. :welcome:

I can't imagine any angle mine could be photographed from that would deem it suitable for inclusion in a calendar  Maybe a silhouette taken at midnight or something ::) :-\ In theory however, I tend to agree with you that it would be nice to see twelve new cars in the 2010 calendar. If repeats were not allowed to occur for 3 - 5 years, it might encourage some us whose Pintos are cosmetically challenged to whip them into shape! Just my two cents worth.
Dwayne
Well, I think that any and all Pintos should be eligible! Not just the "shiney" ones!! I think it is cool to see what people have!! A pinto is a pinto!!!
As far as angle! I like the down low to up high angle!! ;D I already submitted my pics of the Ghost! Maybe I should go take a pic of what the Green Machine looks like as of right now! LOL
I agree Kim.. The ugly ones deserve a chance, but by vote they won't get one... And only one entry per person. That way if someone has three different cars they could only have one in the calendar , unless they were to have all three on one page.

I agree that previous Pintos should not be allowed for a period of time, I'm proud that mine was picked in 2009 but 12 new ones would be cool. Therefore, since we are submitting any and all Pintos including ugly ones or works in progress, I proudly submit my newest member of my fleet, "The Cruiser" :hypno:  :o :amazed: :cheesy_n:
Frank,
I e-mailed a pic for you to consider. I've attached a smaller version here
jOE
If "The Cruiser" makes it into the 2010 calendar, Jimmy, my Pinto might stand a chance after all!!!
Dwayne ;D
It would be nice to see my squire on a calendar but I will be happy with anything. I liked the idea of having a seperate page/section for junkers as well
Here are some photos of my recently aquired 1974 Pinto wagon for consideration in the 2010 Calendar. It's a 2.3L 4-speed. Very original, a tad over 99,000 miles, and in very good shape for its age. It drives well and gets a lot of thumbs up from local drivers. Joe In Morgan Hill, CA
I'm still alive.

Hey Henry!
Good to hear from you man...! :D
How about a 12.47 second Electric Drag Racing Pinto:
(I don't know about hte order with the file names I have assigned.
I also have the raw hi-res versions of all these.

I'd really like to submit mine but a) neither of my girls is shiny enough, and b) I don't think my pictures are high enough in resolution. :-\
Yes Sir!!! I'd like to submit a couple of photos for the 2010 calendar. These pictures are of my 1971 Ford Pinto Trunk Model. I purchased this car thru fordpinto.com, from Reed in Washington State back in November 2008. The car after weeks of shipping, finally arrived in Muncie, Indiana in January of 2009. This 1971 has been thru a lot of restoration, including all new interior and a new paint job on the outside. A lot of mechanical work has been done, and this car was in it's first show a week ago. What's great about this car, and why I wanted it, is it's exactly like the 1971 Ford Pinto Trunk Model I had during my High School years back in the early 70s. I love this car, and I think it'd be a great addition to your calendar. I just hope I'm not too late for the entry. Have a great day!!!! Oh yeah...you probably know already, but in case you don't, if you double click on the photos, they will get larger. Thanks. Larry :police:
Here is one that I have of your car at Knotts, Becky!! ;D

Awww Kimmy! Thank you. My Baby... I miss driving her sooooooooooo much. :'( I would love for one or both of my Pinto babies to make the PCCA calendar. I don't think my camera's up to par though (4.0 megapixels). If it is, then I'd better get to stepping. ;D

Oh my, Larry:
NICE, NICE work on this car, the interior is absolutely gorgeous, what a wonderful restoration. Congrats on a beaut of a car.
Chris
Just wondering! Is there still going to be a calender for this year? If so, I was counting all the cars (1 per person) and I counted only 11 cars! I guess one of the months could be a colage of all of the pics submitted, including the ones that belong to us that have more then one Pinto!!
I don't know it was done in the past, so it was just a suggestion.
Figured I better bring this up, since the calender should be thinking about being put together soon.
Can I use the one that's my signature? It was taken at the beach earlier this year. It's the best pic of her I have.

You have the original in it's full size right? If so then it should work!! I'm not positive on how things work but I think the person making the calender needs the original pics in there original size. THat way the calender comes out crisp and clear!!
Was wanting to get some pics of my car with some of the miniture pintos standing beside it but havent got them yet.
But If you need pics would be proud to throw mine in the mix.
Guys-
I recieved a PM from Frank- the 2010 calendars will not be created as I'm sure you have already surmized. There is not time & other factors to get them done this year.
Stay tuned for next- I'm apologizing for Frank...

I had a feeling this would be the case. Just haven't seen Frank around lately. Because of my feeling, I got to thinking. If every one that has submitted a photo in this thread, would send me their original full size image, I could possible work on a calender using the cafepress! Then I think once I get the pics uploaded to them, I can give a link to the finished project and you all can go there to buy it, again, I say I think!!! I have never done one, but I know I can make t shirts at zazzle.com and share them with others to buy! So maybe cafepress is the same! As of now there are 12 cars submitted. So if I recieve more then 12, I would probably make a collage of Pintos, or maybe put 2 Pintos in the same month. So as long as that fly's with everyone, I could see this working out!!
That is, if it is ok with Scott that we do this? I don't think it will make the site any money. Maybe the ones that buy the calender, could make a donation to the site??? Is there a place we can make donations?? That would be an honor thing though, so hopefully all would donate!
If we get the ok from Scott, you all would need to send me your pics asap! I would like to try to start this project in the next week or 2. Would like to have it done by sometime before Thanksgiving!!
You could also use Print Pelican http://www.printpelican.com/ (http://www.printpelican.com/)
I did our NEDRA Calendars last year there. You just need to make sure you submit the images in CMYK color format (because thats what the 4- color ink printers use.
Should not take that long once you have all the images. They even have online submittal for all the materials. I ordered Qty 500 and broke even after 1/2 of them were sold. Just going from year old memory I think they came out costing ~$9 each and we sold them for $20.
Maybe with a smaller order we could just buy/sell them at cost. I don't remember if Print Pelican would host the sales too or not. Be worth a call to them.
And if you want the full res versions of any of the Electric Crazyhorse Pinto, would be happy to share.

I think cafepress is a buy it from them only place. Meaning I can make the calender through them but I will not make a profit, and I don't want too. So all money would go to cafepress. I don't want to get to involved with how to submit the pics to the place like you describe with the Pelican place. Cafepress you just upload a pics, and "build" the calender! Pretty basic. May not be the best, but it would be a calender for us all!!
What I would ask of all of you, is to choose your best or favorite pic, and send me that one pic. So I would end up with hopefully 12 good pics to work with. I'm just going to save your pic to a folder on my computer, then upload them to the cafepress's calender building site. Should be pretty easy! In fact, if Scott doesn't approve of this, I will probably make one of just my cars! I have had 11 Pintos total, so I just need on more month! LOL
Thank you Kimmy for offering to do this. That's very generous of you. :)
Here is an example of what I will do for the calender!
So when you send me your images, include what the car is and any additional stuff you may want me to write in the pic!!!
As soon as we get the big OK from Scott I will start, so send pics now if you want. I can always delete them if Scott is not cool with this!!
Oh, and if it is ok Scott, I would like to use the PCCA logo for the front of the calender, or atleast have it on there somewhere. I haven't figured out what I want to do exactly for the front! Just figured I'd get the ok, just in case!! LOL

Ok, but make sure you send it to me, not Scott!!! You can get my email by going to my profile. Clicking my username!!
Ok guy's, send you original size image to my email in my profile!! We got the green light from Scott. The sooner you get them in the better.
I'm not going to do a voting thing. I figure maybe the first 10 that email their photos to me (I already submitted mine to me) LOL will get a full page of the calender, all others would be on a collage in one month. That way everyone should have a car in the calender. I think what I am going to do is once I get all the submissions, I will put them into a hat, except an orange and red and possibly blue or white Pinto, and draw names for each month. If there is only one orange Pinto, I will use it for Oct. If only one red, it will be Dec. Blue or white will be July!! If more then one of those colors, I will draw their names first, then throw the losing names into the general month hat!! Make since?
Anyway, reason I'm not doing a vote is, 1. I figured not many have put pics in this thread. As of now, there are enough to do pretty much the whole calender with no problems. 2. It is a bit late now! LOL
So if you all are cool with that, send me your best pic of the car you want to use! If I find we don't have enough, I will post a request for you multiple car owners to send me a pic of a different car!
Becky, Do you have any good pics? If not I will use the one I submitted in the thread for you!! If you have a better one, send it to me. I remember you saying something about not having a great camera!!
Kimmy, I'll send a couple your way- surprise me with which one you pick! Thank you. :) Maybe by next year I'll even have an orange one... ::)

Kim: Here's a couple of pictures of my 1971 Pinto I bought off the Fordpinto.com classifies from Reed in Washington State. Ok, guy's, looks like I have 12 pics! I will see how they all work out and let you all know how it goes in the next week. I am kinda waiting on 2 pics to see if we can get bigger ones or better ones. Once that is ironed out I can finish it all up! It's already half way there! LOL I have been putting the pics on the months as I get them! I decided not to draw the pintos out of a hat! Maybe I should get off my :showback: and get to work on the cruiser, maybe send it in next year!
I need one more Pinto!!!! Someone that hasn't submitted one yet, please send me a pic!!!!! We need a green pinto!! LOL I think they are all red white and blue, with one orange! LOL
Anybody have a green Pinto, that hasn't submitted a pic yet?? Or even Yellow!! Joe, where's your new Yellow wagon??? Send me a pic!! ;D
OOPS, Edit!!! I forgot about Carolina Boy's pic he posted on the Fab Ford Calender Question thread. I need to see if he is going to send me an original!! If he does, I will have my 12 pics!!
I will let you know as soon as CB gets back to me!!
Kimmy, I'm guessing Green Meanie didn't make the cut! lol. Oh well, there's 2011! ;D
The two black and white photos I submitted, I have original 35mm negatives to. I took them with my Canon 35mm SLR camera. The other photos I took with a point and shoot digital camera and those are the highest resolution photos I have of the car. I can dig through my 35mm photos and see what else I have, perhaps I have something else decent for submission if none of those seem appealing enough for the calender. :)

I will let you know as soon as CB gets back to me!!
Kim you need to put my 73 in there so it will make all the others look real good. Fred ;D ;D
Blu,, yep that pretty much gave it away didn't it!! LOL If you sent more then one pic, I pic the best I feel for the calender!
Joe, the images on the forum don't do me any good. They are usually not full size images. Send "one" of your favorites to my email in my profile!!
Fred, I don't think your going to make the cut for this calender!! Sorry! I am up to 11 pics, and I'm thinking if Joe sends me a pic of his yellow wagon (since he did submit it to the forum) it would be the best choice for the calender!
On a side note, I just want to make this a clear as possible. Some of you that submitted photos to this thread, will not see your pics in the calender. I asked in this thread for those who submitted a photo, to send the photo to my email in my profile. Those that did, made the calender, and only the first 12. I did it this way because of the short amount of time to get the calender done and in production! (dont' know how long it take cafe press to make these and send them out) So I am sorry if you submitted to the thread but didn't make it. I hope you all understand!! This may have not been the most fair way to do it, but it was the fastest, easiest way, for me to take on the project!!
Thanks
Kim
Ok, I am waiting on Joe's wagon pic to come to my email! But I wanted to let you all know that I can't guarantee what this thing (the calender) will look like in actual print!! I had to blow up some of the photos submitted, to fit the calender page. So some may come out with a snow appearance?? I can't say for sure, well except for one I know for sure will, but it looks cool on my end! LOL
Just a suggestion for next year. Try to take your pics with a digital camera, borrow one if you have to. Also make sure you take them in the biggest format your camera will set at! My Canon takes them as large as 3072x2304. It is easier to shrink a photo then it is to blow one up!
For this calender project I was having to blow pics up to at least 2000 to have them fit on the page right. Not all, but some!
I hope you all will like the printed version!! Hopefully it will be available by Monday!!! ;D
I want to pre-order 20 of them ;D Maybe more if the price is right

LOL, we don't set the price! CafePress does! I'm almost done with it!!!! I have my final pic, but am waiting to see if it comes in a larger size! The image size really makes a difference! 640x??? is not a good size. 3000x???? is!!! The bigger the better!!!
Like I said in another post, NEXT year make sure you all take you pics in the biggest size your camera allows. Most go to a very high number!!!
Calender is almost here!!!!! (http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m247/myhrdly/bliss.gif)
