Hi all:
THinking seriously about getting a car cover for my wagon. Can anyone tell me:
1) IF they have bought a car cover themselves
2) From WHO (vendor), and
3) What did it cost?
Many thanks.
Chris
It depends on what how much protection you want. I have to keep my cars parked outside during the summer (no garage) so covers are a must. The one I have on the wagon now cost about 70.oo at wal-mart but it's worth the money because it protects against everything. You can get different ones there to suite your needs starting at 35.oo and up (geez, i sound like a salesman)
Really? Wal-Mart sells a cover that is Pinto wagon compatible? Interesting....I will go check it out. Thanks!
Chris
I bought a california car cover for my 79 wagon. It was not cheap but it was worth the money as it has kept it perfectly protected all winter. My only complaint with the cover is that there are no mirror pockets. Other than that,it fits quite well and takes into account of the roof rack.
The ones from Wal-Mart do not fit like a glove but they get the job done. The down side is that after a year, you need to replace them (at least the cheap ones) ;D
i picker min up on ebay searcher pinto wagon cover and spent about $40 on it 4 years ago. mu car is in a garage most of the time but it was not at the time i bought the cover . Mine is water resistant but not water proof. it will let some rain through on a heavy rain. As tigger said it does not have a place for the mirrors but fits nice.
on a side note i just bought one for the maverick at BigLots for $18 it has the mirror pockest but in the wrong place

i got mine at kragen for like 30 bucks and i love it, i can wax my car and as long as i cover it it stays nice. mine also is a cali cover
What newer car is about the same size as a Pinto sedan? I am looking to get the best cover ($64) from wally-world and I would bet Pintos are not listed on the size chart. Is an escort or focus a similar size? They appear smaller... A tempo maybe? Any help is appreciated...
I bought my hatchback's at Autozone and went by the lenght of the car, bumper to bumper. I think that was 14ft.

Get a #4. It might be a little bit big but it's worth it. The ones that might be listed (#3) are a little snug and might be to small. Right now I have a #5 for my wagon and it's HUGE but does the trick
Can you tell I have done this a few times LOL!!!
