Hello Group,
I havn't been frequenting FordPinto lately because I have been working like a Horse....But as of late I have been working as well on Betsy, which is my 85 Caprice estate wagon...soon to be my official cross country Pinto Towing vehicle. As I have not done a Pinto project this past cold season I wanted to contribute something so please indulge me with this pleasure as I expect it to get me to some events in the future that I would not attend do to lack of Pinto transport. So here goes...........
305 engine, began blowing allot of smoke at 209,000...all the pistons were worn perfectly even with about 1/16th ridge on each cylinder...no scoring...ran good...allot of smoke. Upon disassembly I found there to be 7 flattops and 1 dish piston...Chevy.Ha!!! Bored to 40 over...ground crank.
