Title: pinto 4 speed trans tag

Does anyone have any info on decoding 4 speed pinto transmission tags? Looking at a 78 ET CA   FOG 7f 29 f  what if anything does all this mean?

im pretty sure the 78 stands for the year...1978.  ET or CA was the the gear ratios.  im pretty sure it was the ET though. i have the list at my shop, pintosopher will probably get to them to you befor me.  FOG stands for "Ford Of Germany".  i dont remember what the others are.

Hey thanks, I really appreciate that! I will make a print out of it and keep with my Pinto documentation and notes for easy access the next time something comes up! :)
