I'm just "testing the waters" looking to see if we can invade Pigeon Forge Tennessee the way the Ford F-100 guys do. the sat/sun meet would be a gathering of Ford's all time greatest small car. we could go on a driving tour of local "tourist" spots with me as your local tour guide. or just hang out & drive Go-Karts at the NASCAR Speedpark. If there's enough interest we could get group rates at a good hotel & even at the Speedpark.

Details, details details... right now I'm just looking to see if there's enough interest to make planning worthwhile. the trip for me is second nature, so I can concentrate on planning the fun stuff. just to give a time frame how's early november sound? the leaves would be changing & maybe a light jacket needed at the mountain tops. so tell me your opinions.... maybe to get more people in we can make the meet later, like in the spring

Yeah, it sounds like a good idea, but I live in Philly (area) and that's just too much.  It's a shame that us Beaners are so far apart from eachother.

There are a couple of show's that the east coast guys and some of the sothern boys could attend. One is the all ford show at Carlisle Pa. in June and the other is the all ford show in Columbus,Ohio on laber day weekend. If some of you want to meet in Columbus let me know and i will get a list of local motels.

Good Idea!

Looks like we may be shooting for a spring date. Give me some thoughts on when so I can ensure there isn't anything big going on in Pigeon Forge. If we go on the wrong weekend the "thermally challenged" among our cars won't be happy. >:(

I'm not exactly looking to go to, or have a "show" I'm looking to have a "meet" to put faces to the names. I don't think even bringing your Pinto to the meet is neccessary. If you can bring your horse that's just awesome. Though even if you can't, I'm sure we'd all love to meet some of the great people that hang out here.

I know as much as I would like to go, right now my Pinto has a top speed of 45 mph.. I wish I was exaggerating, but I am not. It's got alot of blowby, and will not run right after shifting into 3rd..

pintoman, you are right though.. I could probably make a meet in Columbus, as long as it wasn't too far from home.. Man I wish my car was running right, but it isn't. :'(

Like I said, I'm not looking to have a Pinto "show" just a "meet"  Imagine 15-20 Pinto's cruising the streets of the nice little tourist trap that is Pigeon Forge!! What a sight that'd be huh.

For a spring meet I'm looking at a mid-late April date now... I've just got to check the caleandar of events to see when. If we go at the wrong time there will be SOOOO much traffic as to make it miserable on us

It looks like the Pinto meet is on, but I NEED your help to get the details sorted

As soon as I have A date I'll post options of what we can do up there & we can decide what to do. (Trust me I'll keep it CHEAP, but fun)
