Here's the new 2.3t project car. 71' trunk model that I was given after a little haggling with my Dad! I'm really excited to get this thing boosted. The interior is amazing compared to the last one. I also like the small bumper/round headlight ones better as well. The body is very straight but the paint is oxidizing pretty bad in some spots. The pics aren't very good but they'll do for now.

I understand your excitement about boosting the engine but you need to change somethings before you can do that. Go to Turboford and read a lot as there is a tremedous amount of info there that will save you time and $$$$$.
Hi,
I have just posted my experience with the Turbo engine conversion. Due to a word limit I had to do it in two parts.

So, all the best to you, but do consider what you are getting into.

Yeah I had a '79 that I had lots of help on. I really learned a lot about it from these guys on here and over at Turboford, and Turbopinto.com. So, I have a really good head start on this one but it's a little different with the early pintos from what I've seen. Thanks for the advice and write-ups they are very helpful. I look forward to hearing and seeing more of your projects. I will be posting more of mine too.

I pulled the 2.0 out along with the C4 auto tranny out of the Pinto today. I got the old exhaust removed and puled out the heater box with the blower motor. I wanted to just leave it all in tact but I was up under the dash today and found that there was some crap inside the heater box. It had been sitting for a while and I think some mice got up in there. After pulling the box out I dumped it out to find all kinds of grass, sticks, various nuts, and crap. Anyway it's all cleaned up and out now and I will put it back in once I get my hole notched for the wiring harness to fit through. I still plan on keeping all the stock heater stuff and going with a center mount header.
Next on the list is pillaging our '73 wagon of it's clutch pedal and manual clutch cable setup so I can get ready for the T5. Then, I'm gonna cut the 2.0 mount towers off to make room for the 2.3 mounts. Anyone know if the 2.0 speedo cable will plug into the T5?
Anyway, I'll get pics of the progress up soon.
