I got my wheels from an out of the way junkyard about 5 years ago. They were $10 apiece, came with tires, but needed new ones. Didn't come with lug nuts or centercaps, I had to get my own. Here are some other Ford cars that share our bolt pattern:

74-78 Mustang II
78-82 Ford Fairmont/Mercury Zephyr
79-93 Mustang
80-? (at least 93) T-Bird
70's Ford Capri
80-85 Mercury Capri

A lot of these cars had the same bolt pattern, but were offered with larger 14" and 15" wheels. I've heard the late models can use the larger wheels (depending on suspension mods). I have 14"X6" wheels on my car with 185/60's up front and 215/75's out back. It originally came with 13"x5.5" wheels. If you have a local u-pull type yard, take a walk with that list and see what you can see. You may get a bargain on custom wheels or cooler stock wheels or wheelcovers. The options are almost unlimited! Oh yeah, some 70's and 80's wheels had slotted lug holes meaning 'universal' fit, so walk the import section too!

I got my wheels from my regular pick and pull for $60 for the whole set, with tires (two were still good). They were filthy and lost most of their paint, but they were complete with the beauty rings and center caps! They came off a brown 77 Bobcat Wagon (the Pinto's twin) I have been slowly parting out.

I painted them using extra durable automotive paint and clear coat. It took a couple weeks to finish, but the end result was great. More people eyeball the wheels than they do the actual car! lol

You would be surprised what you can get from a good junk yard for such a cheap price!
